How can you go wrong with a Queen DVD. For those of us unfortunate enough to never have seen a live Queen performance this DVD makes us feel as though we were there.
The product has good resolution for being a video recorded in those years, is the best concert video I bought this group
My brother is a HUGE Queen fan, I thought they were underrated in America too. He truly was a master at stagecraft and this clip has been replayed almost everytime they bring him up in media. The spandex and nonsense.
They play all there hits and the crowd eats them alive. None of the songs stray from the album unlike bands like Metallica have done, but the songs live sound better than the original album versions. I bought him this and he loved it and played it almost everyday for what seemed like forever, this is the only Queen live CD or DVD you ever need of them live.
I think it takes away from how gifted the guy was because people will jsut focus on that and his lifestyle. Freddie cements his legacy thru this performance. One thing I liked about this is he doesn't wear some flaming outfit like he did back in earlier concerts.
One key moment is the banter between Freddie and the audience. His vocal dives followed by the crowds meager attempts.classic Freddie.
ALL I CAN SAY IS "WOW" FREDDIE MERCURY UNBELIVEABLE. WHAT A SHOWMAN.AND THE BAND FORGET ABOUT IT. TERRIFIC. AND THE STADUIM WAS ROCKING AND THE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE BAND AND THE FANS WAS AWESOME.
I HAVE BEEN A DJ SINCE 1993 IN BOTH NYC AND FT LAUDERDALE. I ALWAYS LIKED QUEEN AND FREDDIE BUT I WAS BLOWN AWAY AT THE CRYSTAL CLARITY OF BOTH THE EDITING, VISUAL AND THE SOUND WAS ELECTRIFYING.IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS JUST RECORDED AND THE SONGS AND PERFORMANCES UNDLINED WHY QUEEN WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS OF ALL TIME. I RECENTLY DID A WORLD AIDS DAY EVENT AND DECIDED TO FEATURE THIS DVD. IF YOU DID NOT KNOW: FREDDIE MERCURY DIED OF AIDS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. AFTER TIME, YOU FORGET ALL OF THE GREAT SONGS THEY ACTUALLY DID, AND SOME, YOU WILL BE SURPRISED THAT IT WAS THEIR SONGS THAT OTHERS MADE FAMOUS.FOR INSTANCE: "THE SHOW MUST GO ON" USED AND COVERED IN THE MOVIE "MOULIN ROUGE".
